114th Philippine Independence Day Celebration

Rachel joined Legislative Council members Hon. Michelle Lensink and Hon. Jing Lee and also Federal Liberal candidate Carmen Garcia in celebrating the 114th Philippine Independence Day on the 9th June 2012.

There were numerous achievement awards handed out on the night which Rachel had the pleasure of presenting. They included:

Career Achievement, Arts Achievement, Community Achievement, Sports Achievement and also the Youth (12-35) Achiever of the Year and Senior (60+) Achiever of the Year.

The grand prize of Filipino of the Year was also handed out.

It was a fantastic celebration of Filipino culture and really speaks to the vibrant multi-cultural society we have in South Australia.
