Active Club Grants

On 6 June Rachel had the pleasure of presenting a total of $18,513 in grants to three sporting clubs in the Electorate as part of round 32 of the Active Clubs Program. The purpose of this program is to provide financial assistance to support grassroots sport and active recreation organisations to strengthen and sustain active communities.

Rachel presented the cheques at a morning tea held in the Adelaide Electorate Office to mark the clubs achievements and recognise their contribution to our community.

The successful clubs were:

South Australian Amateur Walkers Club who received $5,360.00 to purchase new sporting equipment. They were represented by their Treasurer Steve Harlington and his son Alex

Walkerville Lawn Tennis Club received $3,323.00 to contribute towards the construction of a shade structure. Margaret Kaernback will receive the cheque on the clubs behalf.

Walkerville Softball Club was granted $9,830.00 also for the purchase of new sporting equipment. Julie Dale received the cheque as Treasurer.
